Scope and Contents From the Series:

The automation projects series is housed in seven boxes. The sub-series (projects) are arranged in a loose chronological order. This series contains correspondence, reports, publications, and contracts. There are nine subseries: General, ILS (Integrated Library System), LS2000, Mercury/LIS, Andrew, TULIP, UMI Virtual Library, Helios, and Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

The publication series is housed in one box and is arranged alphabetically. The publications include internal staff newsletters as well as informational handouts and brochures for Library patrons. One folder of information about the editorial board is also included in this series. (The publications in this series are general in nature. Publications for specific projects or services can be found in other series.)

The Directors' files series is housed in eleven boxes and is arranged chronologically. This series includes a combined correspondence subseries. The subsequent subseries are subject files from each Library Director. Most of these subject files have been kept in the original organization of the Director.
